Social Security Took $ 32 Million To Spend On This! President Trump Is Angry

The government has a special talent when it comes to spending American tax money. However, one of Donald Trump’s presidential promises was to lower that spending as much as possible.
Government employees seem to have a real skill at allocating reserves which are not to be meddled with, and after doing that, they spend those reserves on unnecessary things.

A recent revelation has shown that the Social Security Administration (SSA) has spent almost $32 million dollars of citizen money on “work conferences,” which is beyond ridiculous. If that was true, they would have to hold like about, 300 conferences at over $100,000 dollars each.
According to a report from The Washington Free Beacon, a new audit has shown that the Social Security Administration billed taxpayers $ 32 million for work conferences.
The agency’s inspector general said that throughout the period of three years, more than 300 conferences cost taxpayers roughly $ 100,000 each in travel, meals, and lodging expenses.
Reportedly, as the audit revealed, the agency agreed with  federal reporting requirements to disclose conferences that cost $ 20,000 or more. There were two cases that were revealed when conferences weren’t reported because their costs were below the $ 20,000 limit.
Between the period of the fiscal years 2013 and 2016, the Inspector General discovered  317 conferences.
As he said, “The costs of these conferences totaled approximately $ 31.9 million.
This means that the costs per conference are $ 100,630.
Congress has demanded that all government agencies must disclose conferences that cost more than $ 20,000 within 15 days, since 2013.
The General Services Administration was discovered for billing taxpayers more than $ 800,000 in 2012. The money was reportedly used for a luxurious conference in Las Vegas in which clowns, mind readers, and hot tub parties were included.
The inspector general stated that “SSA generally complied with Federal conference reporting requirements.”
He continued to say: “However, in FY 2016, SSA did not notify OIG of two conferences with expenditures exceeding $ 20,000 within 15 days of the conference dates as required.”
Most of their 2016 conferences that cost more than $ 100,000 were allegedly for training for judges of administrative law and other training.

The inspector general also revealed that “On average, in [fiscal years] 2013 through 2016, SSA spent $ 742 per attendee on conferences.”
“Conferences with guest speaker expenses ranged from $ 2,500 to about $ 255,000,” he also added.
It seems that administrative work is the most worth-while job that a person can have these days. These people are taking advantage of citizen’s money so they can enjoy their expensive conferences. That needs to end  soon, and American money needs to be put to good use.
